Mountainside Mavericks Girls Soccer 6-0 Southridge

Mountainside's girls soccer team dominated on the road Wednesday, defeating Southridge 6-0 in a Metro League (6A) contest that showcased the Mavericks' offensive depth. The Beaverton, Oregon-based program made the trip to Southridge and wasted no time making an impression, putting together one of its most complete performances of the fall season. The shutout victory moves Mountainside to 6-3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play, a timely result as the league schedule begins to take shape. After entering the match at 5-3-3, the Mavericks showed they are capable of the kind of dominant output that can shift momentum heading into the back half of the season. Six goals against a league opponent on the road speaks to a balanced attack and a defense that held firm throughout. Mountainside will look to build on this result and continue climbing in the Metro League standings as the postseason window approaches.
