Mountainside Mavericks Boys Soccer 2-1 Southridge

A hard-fought two goals were enough as Mountainside boys soccer defeated Southridge 2-1 on Wednesday evening in Beaverton, Oregon, picking up a league victory in Metro League (6A) play. The Mavericks controlled enough of the match to come away with the result, surviving a late Southridge push to secure all three points on their home pitch. The win moves Mountainside to 6-3-3 overall and 1-2 in conference play, a meaningful step forward as the league standings begin to tighten heading into the final stretch of the regular season. With conference wins hard to come by this fall, earning one against a Southridge side that stayed competitive through the final whistle carries real value for a Mountainside squad that has shown resilience all season. The Mavericks will need to continue building momentum if they hope to strengthen their postseason positioning. Up next, Beaverton fans will want to check the schedule as Mountainside looks to keep this winning feeling going.
