McMinnville Grizzlies Girls Volleyball 3-1 Newberg

McMinnville picked up a hard-earned 3-1 victory over Newberg in girls volleyball Thursday night, giving the Grizzlies a much-needed boost inside their home gym in McMinnville, Oregon. The Pacific Conference (6A) league matchup pushed McMinnville to 6-11 overall and 4-5 in conference play, a result that keeps their postseason hopes alive heading into the final stretch of the regular season. Dropping just one set to the Tigers showed a level of resilience the Grizzlies have been working toward all season. For a squad that came into the night sitting at 5-11, Thursday's performance was a reminder that this group is capable of competing when it matters. The home crowd had reason to celebrate as McMinnville controlled enough of the match to secure the win across four sets. The Grizzlies will look to build on this momentum as the calendar tightens and every Pacific Conference result carries more weight. Their next opportunity comes soon, and Thursday's win should provide a confident foundation to work from.
