McDaniel Mountain Lions Boys Soccer 1-0 Sherwood

McDaniel earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sherwood in boys soccer on Saturday, Halloween night, at home in Portland, Oregon, where the Mountain Lions compete in the 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League. The shutout win came against a Sherwood squad from the 6A Pacific Conference, giving the non-league result extra weight as a measuring stick against outside competition. McDaniel's defense held firm throughout, keeping a clean sheet to secure all three points in a tight, low-scoring contest. The single goal proved to be enough, a testament to the back line's composure and the goalkeeper's steady performance. With the win, McDaniel improves to 9-4-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Mountain Lions have now won nine matches on the season, a solid foundation heading into the final stretch. McDaniel will look to build on this momentum as the postseason picture begins to take shape and conference standings come into focus in the coming weeks.
