Lincoln Cardinals Girls Soccer 5-0 West Linn

A five-goal performance Wednesday evening gave Lincoln's girls soccer team a commanding 5-0 shutout victory over West Linn, moving the Cardinals to 12-3-1 on the season. The home match, played in Portland, Oregon, featured a Lincoln squad that competes in the 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League and showed exactly why they have been one of the stronger sides in the region this fall. The Cardinals controlled the match from start to finish, finding the net five times while keeping West Linn off the board entirely. The clean sheet reflects a backline that has been difficult to break down all season, and the attacking output signals a team playing with confidence heading into the final stretch of the year. The non-league result gives the program a chance to build momentum outside of conference play, with Lincoln sitting 4-1 in league competition. The Cardinals will look to carry this form into their upcoming matches as the postseason draws closer.
