Lincoln Cardinals Boys Soccer 5-0 Gresham

Lincoln's boys soccer team rolled to a dominant 5-0 victory Tuesday night at Gresham, giving the Cardinals a convincing road win to close out October. Lincoln competes out of Portland, Oregon, as a member of the 6A-1 Portland Interscholastic League. The shutout was a statement performance, with Lincoln's attack finding the net five times while the defense kept a clean sheet against the Gophers. Tuesday's contest was a non-league affair and did not affect Lincoln's conference standing. The Cardinals carry a 5-0 mark in league play, built separately through PIL competition. With the win, Lincoln improves to 11-1-3 overall on the season, a record that reflects one of the stronger campaigns in the PIL this fall. The Cardinals entered the night at 10-1-3 and left Gresham with positive momentum heading into the final stretch of the season. Lincoln will look to carry this confidence forward as postseason positioning comes into sharper focus in the coming weeks.
