Lake Oswego Lakers Girls Volleyball 2-1 Sunset

A hard-fought three-set victory on the road gave Lake Oswego's girls volleyball program a much-needed boost Saturday, as the Lakers defeated Sunset 2-1 in a non-league matchup at Sunset High School. Lake Oswego, based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, and a member of the Three Rivers League (6A), improved to 7-5 on the season with the result.

Playing away from home against a Sunset squad that made things competitive through the final set, the Lakers found a way to close it out when it counted. The split-set format meant neither team could afford a lapse, and Lake Oswego's ability to rally and secure the deciding set speaks to the competitive edge this group has been building.

The win is a meaningful one for a program sitting just above the .500 mark and looking to build confidence heading deeper into the fall schedule. The Lakers return to Three Rivers League play in the coming week, where every result carries added weight in the standings.
