Lake Oswego Lakers Football 21-7 West Linn

Lake Oswego's football team left no doubt Friday night, defeating rival West Linn 21-7 on the road to remain one of the Three Rivers League's (6A) undefeated teams. The Lake Oswego, Oregon program improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in league play with the statement win, keeping pace at the top of the conference standings heading into the second half of the regular season. Beating West Linn away from home is never a simple task, and doing it by two scores speaks to the consistency this Lakers squad has shown through five weeks. The defense deserves credit for holding the Lions to a single touchdown, giving the offense room to operate and build a comfortable advantage. Lake Oswego has now won each of its first five games, and the margin of victory Friday suggests this group is hitting its stride at the right time. The Lakers will look to carry that momentum into next week as league play continues to heat up.
