Hillsboro Spartans Softball 1-5 La Salle Prep

La Salle Prep built an early lead and never looked back Tuesday evening, defeating Hillsboro 5-1 in Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) softball action. The loss drops the Spartans from Hillsboro, Oregon to 8-6 overall and 6-5 in conference play with the regular season winding down.

The Falcons jumped ahead early and maintained control throughout the contest, limiting Hillsboro's offensive opportunities in the road matchup. Despite managing to score once, the Spartans couldn't generate enough offense to mount a serious comeback against La Salle Prep's steady pitching.
