Lincoln Cardinals Girls Volleyball 1-3 Jesuit

Jesuit took the upper hand Thursday night, defeating Lincoln's girls volleyball team 3-1 in a non-league matchup that dropped the Cardinals to 1-1 on the season. The game was played at Lincoln High School in Portland, Oregon, where the Portland Interscholastic League (6A) program had hoped to build on an opening win. Instead, a strong Jesuit squad proved to be a tough early-season test, taking three sets to Lincoln's one and leaving the Cardinals with plenty to evaluate heading into the weeks ahead. Jesuit is a perennial contender out of the Metro League, making this a meaningful measuring-stick opportunity regardless of the outcome. While the result was not what Lincoln was looking for, a competitive four-set match against quality opposition can offer valuable lessons as the roster continues to gel. The Cardinals will look to regroup and carry the momentum of that lone set win into their next outing, where a bounce-back performance will be the focus.
