Century Jaguars Football 25-17 Newberg

The Century Jaguars bounced back in a big way Friday night, knocking off Newberg 25-17 to move to 3-2 on the season. It was exactly the kind of statement win the Jaguars needed after entering the night sitting at .500, and they delivered when it counted most.

Century controlled the tempo for much of the contest, building enough of a cushion to withstand a Newberg push late in the game. The Jaguars' defense came up with key stops down the stretch, keeping the Tigers from completing what would have been a costly comeback. When the final whistle blew, it was Century walking off the field with the eight-point victory.

With the win, the Jaguars now sit at 3-2 and have some real momentum heading into the back half of their schedule. After a shaky start to the season, this team is finding its footing at just the right time. Century fans have reason to be excited about where this group is headed.
