McMinnville Grizzlies Football 12-58 Ida B. Wells

Ida B. Wells handed McMinnville a lopsided 58-12 defeat in non-league high school football action Friday night in Portland, dropping the Grizzlies to 1-2 on the season. McMinnville, based in McMinnville, Oregon and a member of the Pacific Conference (6A), made the road trip to face the Blazers in a tough early-season test that did not go their way. The margin was steep, and the Grizzlies struggled to find consistent answers on both sides of the ball against a Wells squad that controlled the game from the opening quarter. Because this was a non-league contest, the result does not factor into Pacific Conference standings, but the challenges exposed Friday will demand attention before conference play takes center stage.
