Ida B. Wells Guardians Girls Soccer 4-0 Roosevelt

A dominant shutout lifted Ida B. Wells to a 4-0 girls soccer victory over Roosevelt on Tuesday, giving the Portland, Oregon squad a welcome boost in Portland Interscholastic League (6A) play. The Mustangs controlled the match from start to finish, finding the back of the net four times while keeping Roosevelt off the scoreboard entirely for a clean sheet at home. The result moves Ida B. Wells to 4-7-2 overall and 1-4 in conference, a signature performance for a team that had been searching for consistency through a tough stretch of the schedule. Shutting out an opponent 4-0 in league play signals real defensive and offensive cohesion, and the Mustangs will look to carry that momentum forward as the PIL season winds toward its close. With postseason positioning still in play, Tuesday's result gives Ida B. Wells something tangible to build on. Their next opportunity to add to the win column comes later this week.
