Horizon Christian Hawks Football 44-42 Warrenton

Horizon Christian escaped with a 44-42 football victory Friday night at Warrenton, delivering one of the more dramatic finishes of the fall season for the Tualatin-based Hawks. The two-point margin tells the story of a game that went down to the wire on the Oregon coast, with both offenses finding ways to move the ball and neither defense able to pull away for comfortable breathing room.

The win pushes Horizon Christian to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in league play, a meaningful result as the Hawks work to position themselves for a postseason berth in the final weeks of the regular season. Coming in at 4-2, the Hawks needed this road test and delivered, showing the kind of resilience that can define a team heading into the stretch run.

With the league race still unsettled, Horizon Christian will look to build on this narrow victory next week and continue climbing in the standings before the playoffs begin.
