Hillsboro Spartans Girls Volleyball 0-3 Woodburn

Woodburn swept Hillsboro 3-0 on Tuesday night in a non-league girls volleyball match played in Woodburn. The Spartans, who represent Hillsboro, Oregon, in the 5A-2 Greater Metro Conference, dropped to 7-12-1 on the season with the road loss. Facing Woodburn away from home, Hillsboro could not find the momentum needed to take a set, as the host Bulldogs controlled play throughout all three frames. Without a detailed box score available, the three-set margin tells the story of an evening where Woodburn dictated the pace and left Hillsboro searching for answers on both sides of the net. The non-league result will not affect conference standings, giving the Spartans some cushion to regroup and sharpen their fundamentals before the next opportunity. Hillsboro still has time to build confidence heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. The Spartans will look to bounce back in their next contest and finish the season on a positive note for their program and their fans.
