Hillsboro Spartans Boys Soccer 1-2 Canby

Canby handed Hillsboro a 2-1 defeat Thursday evening in a 5A-2 Greater Metro Conference boys soccer matchup, leaving the Spartans still searching for their first win of the fall. The Hillsboro, Oregon-based program traveled to Canby for the league contest and found the road difficult, dropping to 0-8-5 overall and 0-4 in conference play. Despite the setback, Hillsboro managed to put a goal on the board against Canby, showing they could compete on the scoresheet even in a tough environment. The Cougars, however, were able to generate enough offense to secure the two-goal victory and take the league points. With the Greater Metro Conference season winding down, Hillsboro will need to carry the resolve from moments like this goal into their remaining matches. The Spartans return to action next week with an opportunity to build on any positives from Thursday and push for results before the regular season closes.
