Ida B. Wells Guardians Football 35-0 Jefferson, Portland

The Ida B. Wells Guardians put on a dominant performance Friday night, shutting out Jefferson 35-0 to stay perfect on the season. The Guardians were locked in from the opening whistle, controlling both sides of the ball and never giving the Democrats a chance to find their footing. It was the kind of complete team effort that makes opposing offenses look lost.

The defense deserves a ton of credit here. A shutout is never accidental, and the Guardians' unit made Jefferson work for every yard, ultimately surrendering none on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, the offense did its job efficiently, piling up 35 points and keeping the pressure on throughout. When a team wins by five scores without giving up a single point, that's not luck. That's preparation.

With the convincing victory, the Guardians move to 5-0 on the season and have firmly established themselves as one of the teams to watch in the Portland metro area. Five games in and they haven't blinked once. The rest of the league has been put on notice.
