Grant Generals Softball 15-22 Franklin

Seven runs in the final inning weren't enough as Grant softball dropped a 22-15 decision to Franklin on Tuesday night. The Generals battled back from a significant deficit in the high-scoring Portland Interscholastic League (6A) contest, but came up short in their comeback attempt at Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon.
The loss snapped a strong run for Grant, which had been playing some of its best softball of the season entering the matchup. Despite the offensive fireworks from both teams, the Generals couldn't quite match Franklin's early scoring surge.
With the defeat, Grant moves to 11-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play, still maintaining an excellent position in the PIL standings. The Generals have shown resilience throughout the spring campaign and will look to bounce back quickly from this setback.
Grant returns to action later this week as the regular season winds down and playoff positioning becomes increasingly important in the competitive PIL race.
