Grant Generals Boys Soccer 8-0 Benson

Eight goals and a clean sheet told the whole story Wednesday night as Grant boys soccer rolled past Benson 8-0 in Portland Interscholastic League (6A) play at home in Portland, Oregon. The Generals were in complete control from the opening whistle, pouring in goals at a steady pace while keeping Benson off the scoreboard entirely. The shutout victory pushed Grant to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in league play, an encouraging start to conference competition for a team with clear postseason ambitions. With no detailed box score available, the margin of victory speaks for itself. An eight-goal performance suggests depth across the roster, with multiple contributors likely stepping up in a team-wide offensive effort. Defensively, holding an opponent scoreless is always a statement, and the Generals did exactly that. Grant will look to build on this momentum as league play continues and the playoff picture begins to take shape in the weeks ahead.
