Grant Generals Baseball 2-3 West Linn

West Linn edged Grant 3-2 in a tight baseball matchup Thursday at West Linn High School. The Generals, representing Portland, Oregon in the Portland Interscholastic League (6A), couldn't quite find the clutch hit needed to overcome the Lions in this non-league contest.

Despite the loss, Grant's season remains strong at 19-5 overall and an impressive 13-1 in conference play. The single-run defeat showcased the competitive nature both teams brought to the diamond, with neither side able to pull away decisively.

The Generals have built an excellent campaign this spring, and Thursday's result doesn't diminish what has been a successful season. Grant's strong conference record keeps them in prime position as the regular season winds down.
