Tigard Tigers Girls Soccer 0-1 Glencoe

A single goal was all Glencoe needed Saturday, as the visiting Crimson Tide handed Tigard girls soccer a 1-0 non-league defeat on Halloween at Tigard High School in Tigard, Oregon. The Tigers, who compete in the 6A-5 Three Rivers League, saw their strong fall run interrupted in a tight, low-scoring contest that came down to one decisive moment. Tigard's defense held firm for much of the match, but the lone Glencoe tally proved unassailable as the Tigers were unable to find an equalizer. The loss drops Tigard to 10-2-4 overall while their Three Rivers League mark stands at 4-1, a record that still reflects one of the stronger campaigns in the Portland Metro area this fall. A non-league result like this one, while frustrating, carries no conference weight and leaves the Tigers' postseason positioning largely intact. Tigard will look to regroup and carry their momentum back into league play as the postseason window approaches.
