Molalla Indians Girls Soccer 1-5 The Dalles / Dufur

The Dalles/Dufur pulled away for a commanding 5-1 victory over Molalla in girls soccer on Thursday, handing the Indians a tough home defeat in Molalla, Oregon. The Tri-Valley Conference (4A) league matchup dropped Molalla to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play as the team works to find its footing in the league standings. The visiting Riverhawks controlled the match throughout, converting five times against a Molalla side that could manage just one goal in response. The Indians showed some fight with their lone tally, but the gap on the scoreboard proved too wide to overcome on the night. With the conference season heating up and Molalla now sitting one game below .500 in league play, the Indians will need a strong response in the coming weeks to stay in contention. Molalla's next opportunity comes soon, and the group will look to regroup and carry more consistent offensive pressure into its next outing.
