Molalla Indians Girls Soccer 1-2 Estacada

Estacada handed Molalla a narrow 2-1 defeat in girls soccer Thursday evening, leaving the Indians with a tough result on their home pitch in Molalla, Oregon. The Tri-Valley Conference (4A) league matchup tightened the standings as Molalla absorbed just its second conference loss across its last several outings. Molalla found the back of the net once but could not overcome Estacada's two-goal effort, dropping the Indians to 7-5 overall and 4-3 in league play. The Indians entered the night at 7-4, riding a solid stretch of fall soccer that had positioned them competitively within the conference. Thursday's one-goal margin shows the game was within reach, and the ability to score keeps Molalla's offensive confidence intact heading down the stretch. With conference play still unfolding, the Indians will need to string wins together to protect their postseason positioning. Molalla's next opportunity comes quickly, and the squad will look to bounce back and keep its playoff hopes alive.
