David Douglas Scots Girls Soccer 3-1 Sherwood

David Douglas picked up a road victory Tuesday, defeating Sherwood 3-1 in a non-league girls soccer match that gave the Scots from Portland, Oregon, a timely confidence boost heading toward the end of the 6A-4 Mt. Hood Conference season. Playing away from home, David Douglas controlled enough of the match to build a three-goal advantage before Sherwood could pull one back, securing the final margin at 3-1. The win moves the Scots to 5-9-2 overall and 2-3 in conference play, a record that reflects a challenging season but also a team that has continued to compete. Picking up a win against a Sherwood program that plays in its own competitive district adds some weight to the result. With the fall season winding down, David Douglas will look to carry this momentum into their remaining schedule and close the year on a strong note.
