David Douglas Scots Girls Soccer 2-0 Oregon City

David Douglas opened its girls soccer season with a clean sheet Monday, defeating Oregon City 2-0 in a non-league home match at Portland, Oregon. The Scots, who compete in the Mt. Hood Conference (6A), carried a 0-0 record into the contest and wasted no time making a statement in their first game of the 2026 fall campaign.
The defense was the story of the night, holding Oregon City scoreless through 80 minutes and giving the goalkeeper and backline a strong foundation to build on heading into conference play. Two goals were enough to seal the result, and David Douglas showed the kind of discipline and organization that will be necessary when Mt. Hood Conference competition heats up.
With the win, the Scots move to 1-0 on the season. David Douglas will look to carry this momentum forward as the schedule grows more demanding in the weeks ahead.
