A three-set road victory snapped an early skid for Columbia Christian volleyball on Saturday, as the Knights defeated Grant Union 2-1 in sets to earn their first win of the fall. The Portland, Oregon-based program, competing in the Northwest League (2A), traveled to Grant Union for this non-league matchup and gutted out the split-set win to move to 1-2 on the season after dropping its first two matches.

Winning on the road in a three-set format is never easy, and the Knights showed resilience by bouncing back after dropping one set to close out the match. Without a full box score available, the standout individual performances remain unclear, but the team result speaks for itself. A road win against a non-league opponent, regardless of the circumstances, is a meaningful confidence builder for a young squad still finding its footing.

Columbia Christian returns to action next week with a chance to build on this momentum and push toward .500 in the early portion of the 2026 schedule.
