Cleveland Warriors Girls Soccer 2-1 Ida B. Wells

A late road victory kept Cleveland's league momentum rolling Monday, as the Warriors defeated Ida B. Wells 2-1 in PIL (6A) girls soccer action in Portland, Oregon. The win pushed Cleveland to 7-3-1 overall and a perfect 2-0 in conference play, a strong early statement in league competition. Playing away from home, Cleveland found a way to grind out the result against a Wells side that made things difficult until the final whistle. The one-goal margin reflects how competitive PIL play can be, and Cleveland's ability to hold on speaks to the team's composure under pressure. With the conference slate still in its early stages, the Warriors have positioned themselves well heading into what figures to be a demanding stretch of league games. Cleveland will look to carry that road toughness back home and keep building on a conference record that has started exactly as the program hoped.
