Century Jaguars Softball 0-13 Glencoe
Century softball struggled to find offensive rhythm Friday afternoon, falling 13-0 to visiting Glencoe in a league matchup that highlighted the challenges facing the Jaguars this spring season.
The Crimson Hawks dominated from the opening inning, building an insurmountable lead while limiting Century's scoring opportunities throughout the contest. Despite showing flashes of defensive effort, the Jaguars couldn't contain Glencoe's aggressive offensive attack that produced runs in multiple innings.
The loss drops Century to 5-10 overall and 2-7 in conference play, placing additional pressure on the team as they navigate the final stretch of league competition. Head coach and players will need to regroup quickly to address both offensive production and defensive consistency.
With several league games remaining on the schedule, Century has opportunities to build momentum heading into the postseason picture. The Jaguars will look to bounce back from this setback and find ways to generate more offensive chances in their upcoming contests as they work to finish the spring campaign on a stronger note.
