Century Jaguars Baseball 1-3 Newberg

A two-run deficit proved too much to overcome as Century baseball dropped a 3-1 decision at Newberg on Monday evening. The loss moves the Hillsboro, Oregon squad to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in Pacific Conference (6A) play with the regular season winding down.

The Jaguars managed just one run against Newberg pitching in what became a pitcher's duel at Tiger Field. Century entered the contest riding momentum from recent wins, but couldn't generate the offensive spark needed to keep pace with the Tigers.
