Central Catholic Rams Girls Soccer 7-3 Nelson

Seven goals on the road told the story Monday night, as Central Catholic's girls soccer team handed Nelson a 7-3 defeat in Mt. Hood Conference (6A) play. The Rams, based in Portland, Oregon, made the trip to Nelson and left little doubt, building what proved to be an insurmountable lead in a high-scoring league contest. The victory pushes Central Catholic to 8-0-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play, keeping the Rams among the unbeaten programs to watch in the 6A landscape this fall. Conceding three goals on the road is worth noting as a point of attention for the coaching staff, but the offensive output more than compensated, and the Rams have now gone the better part of the season without a loss. With conference play still in its early stages, Central Catholic has positioned itself well for a strong league run. The Rams return to action later this week with a chance to build on their impressive start.
