Central Catholic Rams Football 16-10 Grants Pass

A hard-fought 16-10 victory over Grants Pass on Friday night lifted Central Catholic's football team to 4-4 on the season, giving the Portland, Oregon program a needed boost heading toward the postseason picture. The Rams hosted the Cavemen in a non-league matchup and ground out the win despite a close margin that lasted deep into the game. Neither team pulled away comfortably, as Grants Pass kept things within reach at 10 points through four quarters. Central Catholic's defense ultimately made the difference, holding the Cavemen to a single-digit scoring output in the second half. The victory does not alter the Rams' conference standing, which sits at 3-1 in league play from earlier in the schedule, but it provides momentum and a winning feeling that programs look for late in October. Central Catholic will look to carry that confidence into their final stretch of the season and a potential playoff push.
