Canby Cougars Football 42-7 Hillsboro

Forty-two points told the story Friday night as Canby football dominated Hillsboro 42-7 in a Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) league game at home in Canby, Oregon. The lopsided victory moves the Cougars to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play, a strong statement through the midpoint of the fall season.

Canby controlled the contest from the opening drive, building a lead that never allowed Hillsboro to find any meaningful rhythm. The Cougars' offense generated points consistently while the defense held the Trojans to a single score, a performance that speaks to a program operating with confidence and purpose through six weeks of the 2026 campaign.

The 35-point margin is the kind of result that earns attention across the Northwest Oregon Conference and signals that Canby is a legitimate contender as league play intensifies. With the Cougars sitting at 2-0 in conference, the schedule ahead carries added weight. Every remaining league game becomes a measuring stick, and Canby appears ready for the challenge.
