Canby Cougars Football 28-31 Aloha

Aloha edged Canby 31-28 in a close Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) football game Friday night, handing the Cougars from Canby, Oregon their second loss of the season. Canby entered the night at 5-1 overall, meaning this defeat drops them to 5-2 on the year and 2-1 in conference play. The three-point margin made it a hard one to absorb, as the Cougars had enough offensive production to win on most nights but could not quite close the gap against the Warriors on the road. Playing away from home is never easy in league play, and Aloha proved a difficult environment to navigate. Despite the setback, Canby remains in the thick of the Northwest Oregon Conference race at 2-1 in league games, with meaningful games still ahead to shape postseason positioning. The Cougars will look to regroup quickly and refocus as the back half of the regular season gets underway.
