Columbia Christian Knights Boys Soccer 1-4 Damascus Christian

Damascus Christian handed Columbia Christian a 4-1 defeat in a 2A/1A-SD1 Special District 1 boys soccer match played Thursday evening in Portland, Oregon. The Knights were unable to slow a balanced Damascus Christian attack, falling behind and never fully recovering in what became a challenging night at home. Columbia Christian managed one goal on the evening but allowed four, a margin that reflected Damascus Christian's control through much of the contest. The loss drops the Knights to 3-10 overall and 2-5 in league play as the regular season winds toward its close. Columbia Christian has shown fight in stretches this fall, and the lone goal Thursday was a reminder of the team's capability to get on the board even against stiff competition. With the postseason picture taking shape across the district, the Knights will look to build on any positive moments from Thursday and close out the remaining schedule with purpose. Their next opportunity comes soon, and the group will look to respond.
