Beaverton Beavers Girls Soccer 1-0 Sunset

A single goal was all it took, as the Beaverton Beavers claimed a 1-0 girls soccer victory over Sunset on Monday at home in Beaverton, Oregon, opening Metro League (6A) play on the right foot. The shutout win moves Beaverton to 4-5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference, a meaningful first step in what the Beavers hope becomes a league-title run. Coming in at 3-5-1, Beaverton needed a clean result to build confidence heading deeper into the league schedule, and the defense delivered by keeping a quality Sunset side off the scoreboard for the full 80 minutes. Picking up three points in the conference opener gives the Beavers a solid foundation, especially as the Metro League race begins to take shape across the division. Beaverton will look to carry that defensive intensity into their next matchup and stack another league win to keep pace with the rest of the Metro League field.
