Scappoose Indians Girls Volleyball 0-3 Astoria

Astoria handed Scappoose a straight-set defeat Thursday night, winning 3-0 in a Northwest Oregon Conference (5A) girls volleyball match played in Scappoose, Oregon. The Indians entered the contest at 7-6 on the season and were unable to find an answer for the visiting Fishermen across all three sets, falling to 7-7 overall with the loss. The defeat also pushed Scappoose's conference record to 1-4, making the path to a strong league finish a steeper climb with the regular season winding down. Astoria controlled the tempo throughout the night, and Scappoose will need to regroup quickly if it hopes to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the fall schedule. The Indians will look to bounce back in their next outing and find a way to string together wins in conference play before the postseason arrives.
